Mercedes-Benz moves to the next level in terms of safety and wants to limit the risk of accidents through the Active Comfort system. This will help the driver who stopped for rest to fall asleep much faster by “calming” his senses.
Once solved the problem of airbags’ effectiveness and of the other classic safety systems that help passengers in case of accident, automakers are now focusing on adjacent systems designed to prevent accidents. And the best known of them – proximity sensors that detect the presence of a car in the blind spot or sensors that notifies the driver that he has crossed the line delimiting the road – are already included in the optional package of more and more models.

Alpine Electronics has a new digital media receiver on the market – the iDA – X305 – but at first glance you might be led to believe it’s the X100. Not one to change up a successful design, the new receiver has the same size, interface and fast browsing of digital media features but has added iPhone support and has extra power. The face plate is more matte-looking, which helps it fit in better with your cars dash. Like the X100, it does not have a slot for CDs and has a USB based input.
